DATSIK at The Skyway Theatre 4/23/16

DATSIK

This last Saturday in Minneapolis the infamous DJ and producer DATSIK stopped into The Skyway Theatre to give a couple thousand people another large dose of bass to your face electronic music. With support from Ookay and Drezo this show had all parts of a recipe to make sure it was almost uncontrollable mayhem, in the best way of course. DATSIK appeared on stage around 12:30am and immediately began to play one of the most intense, high energy, face melting 90 minute sets available to man kind. This man can successfully change the electric mood in a room packed with a couple thousand people so quickly you could barely grasp whats happening. He came ready with a huge arsenal of prepackaged bombs that he had prepared to drop through speaker stacks bigger then the size your body. Throughout his set he would continuously drop banger after banger, mostly his own, and quite a few off his newest “Darkstar EP.” If he didn’t play anything to slow the room down I’m sure it would have lit on fire, he even mentioned how steaming hot the crowd had made the entire venue. This last week, nearly every human on the planet has heard, Prince passed away. DATSIK even played his respect to him by playing “Purple Rain” in the mist of this high-octane, jet fueled ride of a night. If you find yourself going out to see DATSIK be ready, bring a friend, he is and has been one of the very best live artists since he came to light. You will not be disappointed in any way shape of form. DATSIK and his team took a killer photo of him and the crowd near the end of the night, you can find it right here. Don’t forget to check out his new “Darkstar EP” if you have not already. Thank you for an unforgettable night DATSIK, until next time!
