Peking Duk “Wasted Tour” July 2nd in Minneapolis, MN

Two weeks ago we had the pleasure of getting to see Peking Duk for their first performance in Minnesota at First Ave’s 7th Street Entrance. Four years ago we heard the duo’s first hit single “High,” and wondered when would we get the opportunity to see these guys in the flesh. This band is helmed by Reuben Styles and Adam Hyde from Australia, accompanied by a drummer and the lovely female vocalist Michaela Baranov. Around 9 in the evening they took the stage to play for a packed room of around 250 hungry fans. Right out of the gates the band took big energy by playing one of their more recenter hits, and tour titled songs, “Wasted.” From then on out the entire show was a not stop ride through some of the most fun electronic rock music known to man. Between their heavy breaks, sweet melodies, and rifts the vocalist that accompanied them brought a sort of loving peace to the air. They even played one of the most unique versions of Seven Nations Army by The White Stripes known to man. These guys have great potential, and were excited to see how big and fast they grow. If the come to your town, don’t think twice, they will not let you down!
